Localization of gas outlets on the earth surface by recording of multiple thermograms over long time periods, creation of differential thermograms and then determination of lowest differential temperature values and correlations

Method wherein multiple thermograms are recorded in a localization phase at different predefined times over a long time period. The thermograms are subtracted from each other on a pixel by pixel basis. A location or locations with the lowest differential temperature values is determined and a multitude of differential themograms stored. The locations in the different thermograms are compared to see if there is any correspondence. If there is significant local correspondence of lowest differential temperature values these are classed as first grade discovery locations, while those with no correspondence are classed as second grade.
