In a process to transfer a hollow glass vessel (7) from a glass forming machine to a conveyer (5), the glass vessel is transferred from a hotplate (1) by a pushrod along a curved track (10) to the conveyer. The curved track approaches at a tangent to the conveyer track that then translates to the same vector as the conveyer. After reaching a vector contact point (11), the pushrod advances the glass vessel further to a release point (13). The pushrod then returns to its initial point (8). Also claimed is a commensurate assembly.
