The invention relates to medical engineering. The inventive dental handpiece consists of a head comprising a turbine which is disposed therein and provided with means for receiving a dental tool, at least one hole for supplying a gas to the turbine and a valve. The body of the handpiece comprises a seat for mounting the head and a channel which supplies a working gas and is connected to a gas delivery pipeline. The seat is embodied in such a way that it enables the head to carry out a full turn. Said means for receiving the dental tool is embodied in the form of a clutch holder provided with a knob. An intermediate channel is embodied in the head. An additional channel is embodied in the body of the handpiece and is connected by the output thereof to the intermediate channel input. The knob is provided with push and expansion surfaces and in arranged in the head. The internal surface of the head and the push surface of the knob form a cavity which is connected to the output of the intermediate channel.
