<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining skin health in an area of skin and the overall health of an individual. <P>SOLUTION: This method comprises a process for exposing the area of skin to a first exposure radiation to induce the area of skin to emit a first fluorescent emission, a process for measuring the intensity of the first fluorescent emission, a process for exposing the area of skin to a second exposure radiation to induce the area of skin to emit a second fluorescent emission, a process for measuring the intensity of the second fluorescent emission, a process for calculating a ratio of these intensities, and a process for comparing the ratio to a control ratio. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
