<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-pressure fuel common rail for avoiding erosion by cavitation at ends of branch pipes opening to a main pipe rail passage, for resolving a problem of cracks and fuel leakage and for reducing stress at branch pipe roots and improving vibration fatigue resistance property. <P>SOLUTION: The common rail is formed by brazing or welding the branch pipes to a plurality of through holes formed at intervals in a peripheral wall portion in an axial direction of a main pipe rail and is characterized in that the branch pipes are made of an austenitic stainless steel and are of a structure in which connection ends protrude in the main pipe rail passage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
