<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent voltage from being applied to a magnetron generating electromagnetic waves during an initial operation of an inverter microwave, and to improve durability and reliability of operation of an inverter part. <P>SOLUTION: This inverter microwave comprises a rectifying part 10 rectifying and smoothing a commercial alternating current power source AC to generate a direct current voltage, the inverter part 20 switching the voltage applied from the rectifying part 10 to generate an alternating voltage for driving the magnetron, a magnetron drive part 30 converting the alternating voltage generated by switching the inverter part 20 into a high-output direct current voltage to transmit it to the magnetron M for generating electromagnetic wave and an inverter control part 40 adjusting a switching frequency of the inverter part 20 to prevent excessive voltage from being applied to the magnetron M during the initial operation.
