PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily specify a target advertisement by fetching identification data for contents of a displayed advertisement or the like and to display variation contents suited to preference.

SOLUTION: In the content distribution system comprising: a user terminal 112 connectable to a communication network; a content display device 116 for displaying advertising or propaganda contents; and a content distribution apparatus 114 which is connected to the communication network and distributes contents to the content display device, contents being broadcasted are specified via the user terminal, the content distribution apparatus allows a user to select a variation of the contents, and the selected contents are displayed on the content display device. Thus, the user is capable of viewing the variation contents suited to his or her preference.
