<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver which automatically enables a user to continuously view the broadcast program on a slave unit by changing the receiving mode through a master unit, when the receiving condition of the slave unit is worse. <P>SOLUTION: A master/slave television system comprises an antenna 1, a master unit A100, a slave unit B200 radio-communicable with the master unit A100, and a remote controller 33. While a broadcast is viewed through a slave unit B200 using a digital tuner B12 of the master unit A100, the CPU-B58 of the slave unit B200 monitors the receiving condition of the slave unit B200. If the transmission error is much and another digital tuner A2 of the master unit A100 is not used, the CPU-A38 of the master unit A100 stops transmitting transport stream data to the slave unit B200 and sets the digital tuner A2, a video decoder A6 and an audio decoder A7 each to a broadcast program viewable state through the master unit A100. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
