PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that air conditioners provided with a mechanism which enables air discharge of discharging indoor air and air supply of introducing outdoor air are inconvenient since a user must allow the air conditioners to perform air discharge operation using an operation button when the user feels the pollution of indoor air. SOLUTION: An air conditioner comprises an air pollution sensor, and is configured to allow an air supply/ discharge device to perform air discharge operation when this sensor detects the pollution of air. The air conditioner is also configured to allow the supply/ discharge device to perform air supply operation for a predetermined time after the air discharge operation to introduce fresh air into a room so that the polluted air is attenuated.
