PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination apparatus capable of irradiating light from a light source not only frontward, but also irradiating the light in a fore-and-aft direction and the peripheral direction of a direction crossing a light axis. SOLUTION: The illumination apparatus is provided with a funnel-shaped reflection plate reflecting light from the light source only in front and back directions along the light axis, and a curved surface-shaped supplemental reflection plate reflecting light from the light source in the direction crossing the light axis which is the fore-and-aft direction of the extension of the light axis and the peripheral direction with a rotation center as a light axis.
