PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid drop ejector capable of recovering the nozzle of a recording head from clogging by cleaning a carrying means positively. SOLUTION: An inkjet recorder 1 comprises a head unit 2 for recording an image by ejecting ink to a sheet P, a belt 10 for carrying the sheet P to the head unit 2, and a cleaning tub 20 containing liquid L for cleaning the surface of the carrying belt 10. The carrying belt 10 is made of FEP of fluororesin and the cleaning tub 20 is arranged to move between a first position where the carrying belt 10 can pass through the liquid L and a second position where the carrying belt 10 is separated from the liquid L so that ink is ejected idly to a part of the carrying belt 10 where the sheet P is not present.
