PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic head supporting device that can realize a dimple of an arbitrary height, while achieving higher accuracy in loading position by reducing a loading position variation caused by an attitude angle variation. SOLUTION: Due to the fact that the desired curvature radius r of a dimple 102b and the height of a base 102a can be realized independently, an arbitrary small curvature radius r and the desired height of the dimple 102b can be set. Therefore, a loading position misregistration by the attitude angle variation can be reduced, and a stable flying property can be obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
