PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the whole size of a rotary solenoid by substantially reducing vertical parts thereof, and to substantially reduce manufacturing manhours and manufacturing costs by reducing the number of components used therein and simplifying the whole configuration. SOLUTION: A field coil 3 and a magnet 6 are arranged to be adjacent each other in an axial direction Fs by inserting the field coil 3 through the shaft 5 of a magnetic rotor 7. The shaft 5 is formed of a magnetic material to be brought into function as a first yoke 2a. A second yoke 2b which is formed of a magnetic material having one end magnetically connected to the shaft 5 and the other end opposing the magnet 6 is arranged, and the first yoke 2a, second yoke 2b, and magnet 6 form a magnetic circuit C.
