PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Buddhist altar which completely fixes flower stands when the flower stands are placed on the doors of the Buddhist altar, never causes the flower stands to be detached improperly, and enables a user to remove the flower stands easily if necessary. SOLUTION: In the Buddhist altar 10 designed to place the flower stands 17 on the door 11, two rails 12 with dovetail grooves are mounted to face each other on the outer sides of the opened doors 11, and both side edges of the flower stand 17 formed by sticking a vase 14 to a retaining plate 16 are inserted in the dovetail grooves of the rails 12. An element having a cross section of an L shape, a U shape, or a trapezoid with a perpendicular side is adopted for a member constituting the dovetail grooves, and the lower end of the rail can be turnably supported by a pin.
