WASHING AGENT FOR ORGANOARSENIC COMPOUND-CONTAMINATED SOIL AND CLEANING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method capable of realizing healthy utilization of land by outstandingly reducing environmental risk by an organoarsenic compound by efficiently extracting/removing the organoarsenic compound from contaminated soil by washing. SOLUTION: A washing agent for the organoarsenic compound-contaminated soil is constituted by any one of an aqueous solution containing sodium hydroxide; an aqueous solution containing phosphoric acid or a salt thereof; an aqueous solution containing sulfuric acid; an aqueous solution containing hydrochloric acid; an aqueous solution containing tartaric acid or a salt thereof; an aqueous solution containing citric acid or a salt thereof; or an aqueous solution containing oxalic acid or a salt thereof. In the cleaning method, the organoarsenic compound is removed by treating the organoarsenic compound-contaminated soil with the above washing agent. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
