PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a failure of a DC power supply or an electronic apparatus, even if the electronic apparatus connected to the DC power supply is not essentially required to be connected. SOLUTION: This DC power supply supplies DC power to the connected electronic apparatus, and is provided with a DC power generating means that generates DC power from an AC power source, a communications means that communicates with the electronic apparatus, a switching means that changes over the DC power generating means and the communications means so as to be connected to the electronic apparatus, and a determining means that determines whether or not the DC power should be supplied to the connected electronic apparatus based on a signal the communications means receives from the connected electronic apparatus to control the changeover of the switching means.
