PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To early detect fires in a monitored area by promoting the inflow of smoke from an upward and/or downward direction. SOLUTION: Inside upper and lower smoke inlets 61 among a plurality of smoke inlets 61, guide fins 68 extending inwards from the upper and lower smoke inlets 61 are provided. The insect screen 65 of a smoke detection part 6 is so formed that meshes below the smoke detection part 6 are coarser than meshes above it. Of a plurality of light-blocking plates 57 provided at the chamber cover 66 of the smoke detection part 6, the light-blocking plate 67 below the smoke detection part 6 is provided with a hole 67a.
