PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller capable of inhibiting the rise of inside temperature of a refrigerator equipped with a variable speed control type compressor. SOLUTION: This refrigerator comprises a compressor rotational frequency control means 15 for variably controlling a rotational frequency of a motor for driving the compressor of the refrigerator, a door opening and closing angle detecting means 11 for detecting an opening and closing state and an opening and closing angle of a refrigerator door, a door opening and closing angle determining means 12 for comparing the opening and closing angle of the refrigerator door with a predetermined opening and closing angle, a door opening time counting timer 13 for integrating a lapsed time of the door opening state, and a door opening time determining means 14 for comparing the lapsed time of the door opening state with the predetermined lapsed time of the door opening state. The opening and closing angle of the refrigerator door and the lapsed time of the opening state are determined when the refrigerator door is opened and closed, and the compressor is forcibly operated for a specific time at the predetermined rotational frequency after the termination of the refrigerator door opening state, whereby the temperature rise inside of the refrigerator is inhibited, and the bad influence on the food in the refrigerator can be reduced.
