PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt drive system with a belt cleaning tool capable of effectively removing fixed foreign substances on a belt without any influence caused by belt variation. SOLUTION: A pulley 10 for belts provided for the belt drive system is set to fix the belt cleaning tool 1 on an approximately disk-shaped pulley body 10a. The pulley body 10a is mainly provided with a turning section 11 forming dents and projections on an outer peripheral wall and a stationary section 12. The belt cleaning tool 1 has a plurality of extending flat plate members 2 in a arc-shape in response to a curvature of the turning section 11, and an approximately C-shaped supporting body 3 connected astride with one end of the flat plate members. The foreign substances capable of fixing on a face Sm, in which V-grooves are formed by means of sliding of a V-ribbed belt Vb, are peeled off and removed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
