PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To position a decorated curtain rail in order to fix the decorated curtain rail in a prescribed position to an opening part of a window. SOLUTION: A positioning device 1 comprises a plate-shaped part 2 and a fitting part 3 formed by notching a part of the plate-shaped part 2, and is formed to protrude a protruded rim 4 on the surface side of the position along the notch of the fitting part 3. Holes 5 pierce at positions a prescribed length L away from a corner G of the protruded rim 4. The positioning device 1 itself is positioned by making the corner G of the protruded rim 4 meet the corner of the opening part 9 of the window, and the position where a bracket is fixed is determined by using the holes 5 in accordance with a specification. A position where the bracket is fixed is determined accurately and instantly by using the positioning device. Since the bracket is fixed in a desired position, a curtain of a size suitable for the opening part of the window is hung at the most appropriate position. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
