The suspension has a wheel mount guided by transversal swinging arms, and a bearing spring (1) placed on top of a wheel and is mounted on a supporting section of a spring-coupled connecting rod (3). The spring is designed as a helical spring or a spiral spring. The spring is coupled to the vehicle body via an articulated joint that is in form of a rocker arm with an articulated joint (4a) on one side and a ball joint (4b) on the other. The spring is arranged such that the vector of the force exerted by the wheel contacts mainly passes through the inside of the spring.
