The machine controller is formed as a digital pressure and/or quantity controller, (preferably comprising field programmable gate array (FPGA) or ASICs) which is at least indirectly connected to valve circuitry (14,14') via a bus system for outputting an actuating signal to the valve circuitry and for receiving signals from the valve circuitry.
