<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form at least either of first and second engagement parts into a shape that is inclined in the rotative direction with respect to the axial direction, thus allowing the other engagement part, to move along the the inclined shape, allowing the first and the second engagement parts to be easily engaged, and allowing a vibration-type drive unit to be assembled easily. <P>SOLUTION: The vibration-type drive unit is assembled with, alternately from the axial direction, a vibrating body (10) that is excited in vibration by an electromechanical energy converting element (12); a rotating body (1) that contacts with the vibrating body and is rotatively driven; and a transmission member (5) that transmits the rotational force of the rotating body to an output member (16). The vibration-type drive unit has a constitution, such that the rotational force of the rotating body is transmitted to the transmission member by the engagement of the first engagement part (1a), formed at the rotating body and the second engagement part (5a), formed at the transmission member in the rotative direction; and at least either of the first and the second engagement parts has the shape that is inclined in the rotative direction, with respect to the axial direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
