<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device used in forming color segments accurately at different positions of an integrated type color filter. <P>SOLUTION: The device used to form the color segments (131, 132, and 133) of the color filter (400) includes a substrate (100), and a fixing device (300) which fixes at least one pair of a 1st mask plate (50, 510, or 520) and a 2nd mask plate (60, 610, or 620), a 1st mask plate and a 2nd mask plate, and the substrate together. The substrate has an outer circumference (120) and a 1st surface (130) which is adapted to be covered with the color segments. The 1st mask plate covers the 1st surface, and has 1st circumferences (52, 512, and 522), corresponding to the outer circumference of the substrate and at least one cut part (53, 513, or 523) exposing a portion of the 1st surface.
