<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flashing device capable of preventing overexposure and transmitting color information corresponding to an illumination means used for the exposure so that the color information can be recorded and color correction can be applied on a camera side by making a white LED or a lamp being a 2nd illumination means emit light in the fine light emitting area of a discharge tube being a 1st illumination means and irradiating a subject. <P>SOLUTION: A battery being a power source is shown by 101, a booster means to increase the voltage of the battery 101 to hundreds V is shown by 102, a main capacitor in which electric energy boosted by the booster means 102 is stored is shown by 103, the discharge tube being the 1st illumination means to convert the electric energy stored in the main capacitor 103 into light is shown by 105, an existent trigger means to energize the discharge tube 105 by applying high voltage of several KV when the discharge tube 105 emits the light is shown by 104, and a 1st light emission control means to control the light emission of the discharge tube 105 is shown by 106 and constituted of a switching element such as a known IGBT and a thyristor.
