PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map searching apparatus by which map information on a comparatively wide region and map information on a comparatively small region can selectively be searched. SOLUTION: The map searching apparatus 10 is provided with a code management DB 12 stored with search condition information and area information related thereto, a map information DB13 stored with the area information and map information related thereto and a map search terminal 11 which is connected to a user terminal 20 through a communication line 30, is connected to each of the DB 12 and 13, extracts area information corresponding to search condition information transmitted from the user terminal 20 from the code management DB 12, extracts map information corresponding to the extracted area information from the map information DB 13 and transmits the extracted map information to the user terminal 20.
