PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical deflector in which entry and attachment of air including suspended matter on a reflection face due to the inflow of air is prevented even when a movable part is driven at high speed and with a large deflection angle in an atmosphere in which such suspended matter as mote and dust exists, thus preventing the reduction in reflectance and the deterioration of picture image quality. SOLUTION: The optical deflector is fixed in a box-shaped member and the box-shaped member has a light transmission part which cuts off the inflow of air formed at a penetration hole and the light reflection face side of the optical deflector.
