PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device of an electromagnetic induction heating system realizing energy saving and space saving as a fixing device using an electromagnetic induction heating system as a heat source. SOLUTION: The fixing device 1 constituted so that the electromagnetic induction heating element is an endless belt and is included in a magnetic field generation means has the magnetic field generation means, the electromagnetic induction heating element realizing electromagnetic induction heating by the action of magnetic field generated by the magnetic field generation means, and a pressure roller 3 press-contacting with the electromagnetic induction heating element and forming a nip part. In the fixing device 1, recording material is introduced and carried in the nip part so as to fix an image on the recording material with the heat of the electromagnetic induction heating element and the pressure of the pressure roller. Then, the fixing device has the turnable endless belt type electromagnetic induction heating element 8, and is provided with the magnetic field generation means in which the electromagnetic induction heating element is included and whose cross-sectional shape is nearly U-shaped.
