PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machining method and tool for improving efficiency of serial forming. SOLUTION: In the serial forming method, a planar workpiece 10 is placed on a forming member and successively worked into a work 1 by relatively positioning the machining tool along a contour line. The machining tool 100 is mounted on a nonrotating main shaft of the machining apparatus, equipped with a tool shank 110 and a tool head 120, and connected through an elastic member 130. On the tool head 120, there are mounted a plurality of tool tips 122 which are pressurized along the machining surface 12 of the workpiece, with forming performed using a tool path K1 with a large width.
