Carving ski has a base running surface (10) with middle front and rear sections. It is waisted over its longitudinal length, i.e. narrower in the middle. In the front (4) or rear sections of the ski, additional running surface sections (24, 28) are placed on the running surface. These sections are shaped as longitudinal runners that are fastened to the ski surface. Combined with the middle ski section these additional runners provide a second running surface with a different waisting to that provided by the key shape. This second waisting defines an essentially greater curve radius.
