1. Spongy dressings for surface wounds, especially those infected with pathogenic microorganisms, are prepared on the basis of collagen or polyurethane sponge. They are characterised in that they consist of a collagen or polyurethane tampon with pore size under 0.5 mm and at least one cytokine in a protective buffer solution. The cytokine concentration in the dressing is at the level of 0.1-50 μg/cm2>. 5. The method of producing spongy dressings for surface wounds, especially those infected with pathogenic micro-organisms, characterised in that a 1-6 mm thick collagen or polyurethane tampon with pore size under 0.5 mm is saturated with at least one cytokine in a protective buffer solution with pH 4-7.8. The solution contains substances, which protect cytokines against denaturation and/or irreversible adsorption. Then, the tampon is dried and packed into a laminated foil wrapping, closed by heat sealing. It may be subjected to sterilisation by radiation. The dressings are stored at the temperature of 0 - 8 degrees Celsius. |
