<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium excellent in reproduction characteristics and capable of reducing its warping in an environment where the temperature or hunidity changes abruptly. <P>SOLUTION: The optical information recording medium has pits or a recording layer, and a cover layer of 0.01-0.5 mm thick in this order on a base plate of 0.7-2 mm thick, and records or reproduces information by illuminating a laser beam from the side of the cover layer. Further, it has an ink absorbing resin layer 2-100 μm thick covering 50% or more on the other surface of the incident surface of the laser beam.
