<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for processing images deteriorated by noises, artifacts, blurs, and/or hue shifts, and a high-speed technique designed for processing images obtained by a low-priced sensor/camera having a compression image output of low quality. <P>SOLUTION: The high-speed technique uses an excessively complete DCT expression for processing an image obtained by a low-priced sensor/camera having a compression image output of low quality, and unblocks by performing threshold processing and converting a conversion coefficient, removes noises, and deblurs the image. It uses color balance algorithm to compensate the hue shifts. By using a difference in quality between color channels and correlation between channels, computation volume required is reduced significantly and those images are processed before printing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
