<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording method which can achieve a rapid improvement in terms of C/N, erase ratio, sensitivity and recording/erasure iterative characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical recording method, information is recorded in a phase change-type optical recording medium using a semiconductor laser light. This medium has a recording layer formed on a substrate with a guide groove having a width of 0.25 to 0.65 μm and a depth of 250 to 650Å. The recording layer contains constituent elements which are mainly Ag, In, Te and Sb, showing the composition ratio of α, β, γ and δ(atomic %) being 1≤α<6, 7≤β≤20, 20≤γ≤35, 35≤δ≤70, α+β+γ+δ=100. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
