COLOR REPRODUCTION INFORMATION GENERATING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply smoothness to an LUT of an ICC profile to suppress a pseudo contour, because the pseudo contour is generated in the output system of the ICC when L*a*b*to CMYKLUT of the ICC profile is generated from the LUT of RGB to CMYK.

SOLUTION: First, in generating L*a*b*to CMYKLUT from RGB to CMYKLUT, first, L*a*b*to CMYKLUT of the number of grids of n times is generated. This LUT is downsampled after being smoothed, LUT of ICC profile of the predetermined number of grids is generated.
