<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system that enables printing under printing requirements matching the files to be printed, without having to conduct the work of setting the printing requirements. <P>SOLUTION: A printer has the function of storing management information as a group of printing requirement information, associated with combinations of application names and file names.
