PROTON-CONDUCTIVE ELECTROLYTE AND FUEL CELL

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a proton-conductive electrolyte consisting of a new macromolecular compound obtained by reaction of a sulfo-containing macromolecular compound widely used in the industrial field in few reaction steps and under mild conditions, and to provide a fuel cell using the proton-conductive electrolyte.

SOLUTION: The proton-conductive electrolyte is characterized by comprising such a polysulfonatoalkoxyphenylene oxide wherein a side chain consisting of a sulfonatoalkoxy group is added to the main chain consisting of polyphenylene oxide.
