ELECTRONIC PEN, POSITION DETECTION DEVICE FOR ELECTRONIC PEN, AND POSITION DISPLAY SYSTEM FOR ELECTRONIC PEN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic pen in which infrared light emitting elements emit light effectively with small power consumption, a position detection device for the electronic pen, and a position display system for the electronic pen.

SOLUTION: The electronic pen has; an infrared ray generation circuit which generates an infrared signal; an ultrasonic wave generation circuit which generates an ultrasonic signal; and a control circuit which controls operation of the infrared ray generation circuit and the ultrasonic wave generation circuit, and generates the infrared signal and the ultrasonic signal between receivers which detect generation positions of the infrared signal and the ultrasonic signal using a difference of arrival time of the infrared signal and the ultrasonic signal. The infrared ray generation circuit has an infrared light emitting element which emits the infrared signal and a MOSFET which makes the infrared light emitting element conductive according to a control signal from the control circuit.
