摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a residual image produced on a liquid crystal display device, fabricated by using substrates on which alignment control protrusions are formed by using a negative photosensitive resin composition, when left standing for a long time in a state with voltage applied thereto. <P>SOLUTION: In the substrate, constructing the liquid crystal display device with a liquid crystal interposed between itself and the opposing substrate, and having at least the alignment control protrusions, the alignment control protrusions are formed with the negative photosensitive resin composition containing at least a novolak resin. Furthermore, it is preferable to add a melamine derivative as a cross-linking agent for the negative photosensitive resin composition and a photo acid generator as they efficiently react with the novolak resin. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
