PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a converter exhibiting high efficiency while performing output voltage control by combining a magnetic amplifier and a synchronous rectifier circuit and capable of outputting a plurality of voltages. SOLUTION: In a converter having first through N-th output circuits 101-1 to 101-n outputting AC voltages appearing on the secondary windings N1-Nn of first through N-th (N≥1) secondary windings N1-Nn of a transformer 52A, each of the first through N-th output circuits 101-1 to 101-n comprises a rectification switching element and a commutation switching element as a synchronous rectification circuit, a saturable reactor for magnetic amplifier, and a circuit for controlling a current flowing through the saturable reactor. The transformer 52A has an auxiliary winding Na and the rectification switching element each of the first through N-th output circuits 101-1 to 101-n is driven with a voltage obtained by rectifying an AC power appearing in the auxiliary winding.
