NAVIGATION INFORMATION PROVIDING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation information providing system for searching the presence/no presence of signal installation and the shortest route to destination on the basis of information acquired from each vehicle. SOLUTION: This system is provided with an on-vehicle unit 200 and a center device 100. The on-vehicle unit 200 includes a traveling information calculation part which calculates vehicle traveling information including the location and speed of a vehicle on the basis of information from a sensor; a vehicle traveling information storage part which stores the vehicle traveling information; and a communication part which transmits the vehicle traveling information to the center device. The center device 100 includes a communication part which receives the vehicle traveling information; a signal information generation part which calculates the presence/no presence of the installation of a signal at an intersection and the lighting time of the signal by editing the received vehicle traveling information; and a map information storage part which stores road information including a road network and the signal information of the intersection and the signal installation information of the intersection generated by the signal information generating means.
