PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method of mapping a protein binding site on collagen. SOLUTION: The method for labelling the protein binding site on collagen includes a process (a) of introducing a cysteine residue to a collagen binding site of proteins; a process (b) of introducing a photoreactive cross-linking agent, having both a photoreactive group and a disulfide bond to a -SH group of the cysteine group; a process (c) of bringing the collagen into contact with the proteins; a process (d) of cross-linking the proteins with the collagen through light irradiation by the photoreactive cross-linking agent; a process (e) of generating -SH group on the collagen by cutting cross links; and a process (f) of introducing a label to -SH group.
