PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carriage which can maintain high-precision reciprocation, and a recording apparatus and a liquid jet apparatus, which are equipped with the carriage. SOLUTION: The carriage 161 is equipped with a supporting member 65 which is laid between a main guide shaft 61 and an auxiliary guide shaft 62, arranged almost in parallel with each other, which is arranged in an axially slidable manner, and which supports the approximate center of the main guide shaft. Thus, since a deflection of the main guide shaft can be reduced even if the carriage is upsized for an increase in weight, the precision of the reciprocation of the carriage can be kept at a high level.
