PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating composition for in-mold coating of a thermoplastic resin base material not only having excellent adhesion to a nonpolar thermoplastic resin base material and appropriate flowability but also not causing peeling of the coated film even when opening the mold in a state of high mold temperature, and further not causing turbidity in the coated film obtained. SOLUTION: This coating composition for in-mold coating of a thermoplastic resin base material comprises an acryl-modified unsaturated dicarboxylic acid (anhydride)-grafted polyolefin (A), at least one (B) selected from a reactive oligomer and a reactive monomer, and a radical polymerization initiator (C) each in a specified compounding ratio. The acryl-modified unsaturated dicarboxylic acid (anhydride)-grafted polyolefin (A) is characterized in that its melting point is 92-112°C and the rate of the structural unit derived from the unsaturated dicarboxylic acid (anhydride) is 5-15 mass%.
