Evaluation of tumors, in particular evaluation for diagnostic and/or prognostic purposes. Phagocytic activity potency has been found to relate to level of aggressiveness of malignancy, allowing for methods for determination and quantification of tumor aggressiveness by means of assessment of phagocytic activity. Substances useful in inhibiting tumor aggressiveness may be screened for by inhibition of phagocytosis, e.g. via inhibition of actin assembly to the phagosomal membranes.
