A system and method for purchasing retail goods using a telephone having a video display is described. A user contacts a store server and receives video and audio data relating to store items. The user selects a set of store items and a deliver y method and then authorizes the purchase. Optionally, the user first contacts a server directory that directs the user to an appropriate store server.
