<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low radioactive bonding wire that can reduce rate of occurrence of memory error or soft error. <P>SOLUTION: The low radioactive bonding wire is made of a gold wire with a purity of 4N (4 nine, 99.99%) or higher, and the content of radioisotope is less than 50 ppb and the number of counts of radioactive α particles is 0.5 CPH/cm<SP>2</SP>or less.
