<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exercise assisting apparatus for simplifying control so as to reduce a cost by allowing a user to do exercise with the muscular contraction of thigh parts without stretching knee joints through the use of one driving source. <P>SOLUTION: A supporter body 2 is rocked with respect to a base 1 by a driving part 5 arranged on the base 1 which is installed in position. The upper end part of a bar shape connection body 4 is fixed in position to the upper end part of the supporter body 2. A footrest base 3 for placing the foot of a user, who is supported at buttocks by the upper end part of the supporter body 2, is fixed to the lower end part of the connection body 4. When the supporter body 2 is rocked by the driving source 5, a load to work on leg by the self weight of the user is changed by the displacement of relative positions concerning the foot positions of the user and the position of the center of gravity. But the knee joints are not stretched since a distance between the buttocks and the leg parts is kept fixed by the connection body 4. The supporter body 2 is only moved backward and forward between an erecting position and an inclining position relative to the base 1, so that only one driving source 5 is required. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
