<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eject printed matter in an output mode suitable for a user, in terms of a security level desired by the user, and labor required for printing. <P>SOLUTION: The security level is arbitrarily set for each document or image to be printed by the user through the use of a user interface 311. The printed matter 700 is output in an ordinary output mode in the absence of setting, in accordance with a function of a finisher 330 with a key and the set security level (a). In the case of low-level security, the printed matter 700 is output in a state wherein a blank sheet 701 of paper is sandwiched in the printed matter 700 (b). In the case of intermediate-level security, the printed matter is output as sealed matter in the state of being housed in an envelope 702 (c).
