<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a power saving mode operation to be performed in wire LAN interface parts of all printing devices connected with a wire LAN. <P>SOLUTION: In the power saving control method, when the printing devices 4 to 6 are preset to a power saving mode, a radio starter 7 monitors a printing request signal to be sent from host computers 1 to 3 through the wire LAN 8, and sends a signal for prompting the resetting to a normal state, to a radio interface part of either of the printing devices 4 to 6 supposed to print data, when the signal for prompting the resetting is sent. Since only the radio interface part is energized even in the printing devices 4 to 6 preset to the power saving mode, the printing devices 4 to 6 can be reset to the normal state.
